Teatum, a dedicated and loyal member of our society since 1977. Ray&nbsp;was a great officer, offered great counsel and was unconditional in his support of the Society. The society was a passion for Ray and he was responsible for countless members joining the society and mentoring so many. <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>October 29th 2024 - The Women's Committee Luncheon in support of our Scholarship Program</strong> Approximately
 one hundred and fifty supporters and guests gathered at a private club 
in New York City on Wednesday, October 16 for the third Annual Luncheon 
of the Women's Committee of the Society of the Friendly Sons of Saint 
Patrick in the City of New York. The Society is one of the oldest 
charitable organizations in New York State. It embraces its historical 
mission by focusing its charitable efforts on primary and secondary 
education, Irish arts and culture, and legal immigration assistance.</p><p>Proceeds
 from this luncheon support the Friendly Sons Scholars Program which is 
administered in partnership with the Inner-City Scholarship Fund. Guests
 enjoyed an entertaining talk by Jamie MacGuire, author of Real Lace 
Revisited: Inside the Hidden World of America's Irish Aristocracy. Gifts
 and a benefactor prize were kindly donated by Asprey of London. Very 
Reverend Enrique Salvo, Rector of St. Patrick's Cathedral, offered the 
opening prayer.</p>]]></description>
